Antioch Baptist Church seeks to hire a part-time Youth Director with a firm commitment to Jesus Christ and strong understanding and love of God’s teachings; he or she should focus on creating knowledgeable mission-minded Christians into today’s society. Candidates should have a heart for working with youth in the middle school and high school and the ability to work with younger children as well. The Youth Director’s primary ministry area will be for the middle and high school-aged youth, with additional commitment in some children’s programs, such as Youth Sunday, Children’s Time, etc. The Youth Director will collaborate with the Pastor, Sunday School Teachers, and the Sunday School Director. The Youth Director reports to the Pastor.
Antioch is a historic church that currently has a traditional service. However, Antioch also has a special focus on both preserving its integrity while utilizing technology tools as we move towards the future.
• Plan outreach or fellowship events for Youth Group (including but not limited to lock-ins, team-building exercises, Christian bands/movies, fundraisers, service projects, etc.)
• Plan and lead a program on Wednesdays
• Help leaders plan and lead Vacation Bible School
• Coordinating and participating in youth mission trip
• Teaching children’s messages (negotiable)
Compensation & Hours:
Estimated hours worked per month: 40 hours/month. Days are flexible, depending on planning schedule, but Sunday hours should be 9 AM – Noon. Compensation is negotiable, but is in the range of $400-600/month or $200-300/two weeks.
