Job Announcement: Full-Time Mandarin Pastor
Grace Chinese Baptist Church of Richmond is a Bible-based evangelical Baptist church with a combined congregation of 220 people, including about 160 regular attendees at the Mandarin service. The English congregation is multi-ethnic, multi-generational, and growing. The church completed its Phase II construction project in 2024, and both the Chinese and English congregations worship simultaneously. We are looking for a full-time pastor with a calling and appropriate theological training to shepherd the Mandarin-speaking congregation and make disciples of Christ.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and promote the overall ministry of the Mandarin congregation, and participate in daily management.
• Lead Mandarin preaching, prayer meetings, discipleship training, and evangelism.
• Guide and participate in fellowship, Sunday school, training, counseling, visitation, and care services.
• Collaborate with the English congregation to coordinate service content, including but not limited to children's and youth ministries.
Spiritual Character:
• A devout follower of Christ who reveres God and practices what they preach.
• A leader in prayer who discerns God's will through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
• A pastor with a loving heart, willing to serve and shepherd colleagues and congregants.
Qualifications:
• A Christian with a clear calling to pastoral ministry.
• A theological degree from a recognized evangelical seminary.
• Experience in church leadership and teaching.
• Agreement with the doctrine, constitution, and mission of Richmond Grace Baptist Church.
• Ability to preach in Mandarin.
• Ability to collaborate with the elder board, deacon board, and English congregation team.
• North American work experience and proficiency in English communication.
