FBC Ashland Celebrates 150th Anniversary
First Baptist Church Ashland celebrates its 150th Anniversary with an ice cream social. The festivities were held at the Hanover Arts Center in downtown Ashland.
Senior pastor Robert Thompson led the activities, which included old favorite hymns. The crowd enjoyed wonderful ice cream served by the Bob Hodges Sunday School Class, and rides in antique cars. Everyone enjoyed the fellowship--from young to quite inclined in wisdom!
The music was led by Ralph Manuel, Carol and David Hill. Ralph composed several of the pieces that were enjoyed by all. Those in attendance also enjoyed a skit and a historical look at FBC Ashland's rich story. Dover Baptist Association congratulates FBC Ashland on the momentous occasion, and for many more years of serving the Kingdom of God.
