Antioch Baptist Church held Vacation Bible School with “Agency D3" as their theme. Seniors group had lunch at Golden Corral in Richmond.

Ashland, First Baptist Church held Graduate Recognition Sunday and luncheon; had a booth at the Strawberry Faire and raised $4,641.57 after expenses by selling 106 pound cakes and 185 pounds of strawberries;held a Men’s (Co-Ed) Breakfast with a special presentation by Deputy Barry Bland explaining”Worship Watch”; and held a Blood Drive. The Mosaic group held their Senior Adult Luncheon and a program by the “Young at Heart” Choir from Mount Vernon Baptist Church; and had a private tour of Scotchtown. The youth and mothers sponsored “Father’s Day Café’ on Father’s Day. The youth held a pool party at Kings Charter Rec Center.

Atlee Community Church KidStuf held their season finale with games, crafts, storytelling, dramas, music and food. The rising middle school and high school students held a summer retreat at Camp Watermarks. The Northminister Campus partnered with Caritas to host approximately 40 homeless women.

Black Creek Baptist Church held Graduate Recognition Sunday and luncheon and held Vacation Bible School with “Scavenger Hunt” as their theme. The youth held a car wash and all donations went towards the total expense of their summer camp trip; and went to Centrifuge. The Children’s Choir held a cookout.

Broadus Memorial Baptist Church held Youth Sunday and Graduate Recognition; sent more than 20 adults, children and youth to Roanoke on an Intergenerational Mission Trip. The youth participated in a “Schoolz Out Cookout & Hangout” at the river.

Colosse Baptist Church held Graduate Recognition Sunday; held a Vacation Bible School Prayer Walk; held a Father’s Day breakfast; held Youth Sunday; and held a Vacation Bible School Prayer Walk. The preschool held a picnic. The youth held a concert fundraiser for their mission trip; and several youth went to Bluffton, SC on a
mission trip.

Cool Spring Baptist Church held Graduate Recognition Sunday; and held Vacation Bible School with “Jungle Safari” as their theme. The Cool Spring Travelers joined New Highland Baptist Church’s senior group for a potluck picnic with music by “Homeward Bound”. The Men’s Ministry held a cookout with games and fellowship; and traveled to Shenandoah River State Park for a float trip. The youth went skating at Ashland Skateland. The Women’s Ministry held a Game Night.

Corinth Baptist Church held Graduate Recognition Sunday and a breakfast; TeamKid/Youth Refuge held a “Last Blast” night with games, food, fun, and fellowship. The Young at Heart Seniors went on a Mystery Trip.

Cornerstone Christian Church raised $396 at their lunch fundraiser; and held Vacation Bible School with “Weird Animals” as their theme.

Dover Baptist Church held Vacation Bible School with “SonTreasure Island” as their theme.

Emmaus Baptist Church invited members to take a Mission Challenge to support our ministry to Lee County, VA. Each member was given $10 thanks to the generous donation of two anonymous members. Our church was invited to "match" the gift by buying, socks, underwear, clothes or shoes for a child in need and bring back their gift. We received 45 packs of underwear, 65 packs of socks, 23 pairs of shoes, 21 jackets, 17 dresses/outfits, 21 shirts, 12 pairs of pants, 1 pair of pajamas, 3 skirts, school supplies and $780.00. The church also held a Graduate breakfast; held a Children’s Movie Night and showed the movie “Frozen”; and held a “Camp Commissioning” Service for those going to camp. The youth had a picnic; held a car wash; and held a Father’s Day Pie Auction.

Four Mile Creek Baptist Church dedicated the new playground; held Graduate Recognition Sunday; held a picnic; and held Vacation Bible School with “Wilderness Escape” as their theme. The ladies held a night out at Ruby Tuesday’s. The youth held a Dinner Theater and presented “Summer in the Cricket County”; went to the beach; and participated in soccer games.

Fort Lee Baptist Church held a church-wide luncheon.

Glen Allen Baptist Church held their annual Fish Fry and Music Recital; and held Graduate Recognition Sunday.

Goochland Baptist Church held Graduate Recognition Sunday. The youth went on a mission trip to Baltimore, MD.

Grace Chinese Baptist Church held Vacation Bible School with “Wilderness Escape” as their theme.

Hardy Central Baptist Church held Graduate Recognition Sunday.

Hillcrest Baptist Church held a Father’s Day cookout; and held Graduate Recognition Sunday. The youth held a “Schools Out” celebration.

Hopeful Baptist Church held a Family Night Pot Luck Dinner; and held Graduate Recognition Sunday. The youth held a missions yard sale.

Hunton Baptist Church held a Community-Wide Yard Sale and Youth Fund Raiser BBQ Sale and Car Wash; and held their annual Promotion Day Activities. The Senior Adults celebrated 40 years with a covered dish luncheon. Several children and chaperones attended Kid’s Camp at Eagle Eyrie. The youth went to KingFest at Kings Dominion.

Kentwood Heights Baptist Church held a church-wide picnic. The youth went to Go Karts at Thunderbolt Indoor Karting.

Mechanicsville Baptist Church held Graduate Recognition Sunday and a luncheon; and held Vacation Bible School with “Wilderness Escape” as their theme.

Mount Olivet Baptist Church held Graduate Recognition Sunday. The group “We Are Unique”, a group of special needs young adults, recently won the Spirit of Team Volunteerism Award from Hanover County for their volunteer work helping the WHEAT organization. The “Young at Heart” group attended a “Flying Squirrels” Game in Harrisonburg.

Mount Vernon Baptist Church women’s ministry held a “Spring Parade of Tables and Fashion Show”.

New Bethesda Baptist Church sent a 4-member mission team to Kazakhstan; sent an Impact Virginia mission team to Culpepper; and held Graduate Recognition and Youth Sunday.

New Highland Baptist Church held Graduate Recognition/Youth Sunday, The Senior Adults joined with the Cool Spring Travelers at Cool Spring Baptist Church for a potluck picnic with music by “Homeward Bound”. The youth held a pool party.

New Life Baptist Church dedicated eighteen babies and children; held a baked potato VBS Fundraiser; held Graduate Recognition Sunday and held “Ladies Night”. The Homeless Ministry passes out bags to the homeless.

North Run Baptist Church held Vacation Bible School with “Weird Animals” as their theme.

Pamunkey Indian Baptist Church will have a Homecoming Day on Sunday, August 17. Worship at 11:00 am will feature a message by Rev. Wayne Hines and music by True Spirit, a bluegrass Gospel group. Lunch for everyone is at noon, followed by a 2:00 pm concert by True Spirit. For more information, call (804) 843-4534.

Parham Road Baptist Church youth held a yard sale to offset the cost of their mission trip; several youth went on a mission trip to Ridgecrest, NC; and several youth went on a mission trip to the Philadelphia area. The Men’s Ministry attended a “Flying Squirrels” game.

Pioneer Baptist Church held a Car Wash and Bake Sale; and held a Sunday School Picnic. Children in Action went to Dorey Park to fish. The Brotherhood sponsored a breakfast.

Poplar Springs Baptist Church held Vacation Bible School with “Jungle Safari” as their theme. The Seniors 60+ took a “Mystery Trip” to the river and lunch was provided by their Mystery Hostess.

Rappahannock Indian Baptist Church and Traveler's Rest Baptist Church supported the Medical Mission of Leslie Fortune Spencer which was a team member of eight medical personnel to Haiti. The  churches and individual supporters provided financial, medical supplies and unlimited prayers to a mission that is so desperately needed throughout the world. As we all know, it is difficult to witness to a person about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ when they are physically hurting, hungry and lacking the basic needs of life. Thank God for His Children that demonstrate His Word through Works.

Ridge Baptist Church held Graduate Recognition Sunday. The Caring Hearts (widows and widowers) group traveled to Yorktown, VA which included a tour of the Yorktown Visitor’s Center.

Samaria Baptist Church held Vacation Bible School.

Tsena Commocko Baptist Church held Vacation Bible School with “AgencyD3" as their theme; and will celebrate Homecoming on July 20.

Walnut Grove Baptist Church hosted the Atlantic Chamber Ensemble in concert which included some of Richmond’s finest musicians, members of the Richmond Symphony and their own pianist Maria Yefimova; held a Senior Adult lunch; and held a “Charitable Estate” Planning Seminar.

West Point, First Baptist Church held Graduate Recognition Sunday; held a Father’s Day breakfast and is holding “Backyard Bible Club” throughout the summer. The Youth traveled to a homeless shelter in Richmond. The 55-Alive held a picnic.

Westhunt Baptist Church held Vacation Bible School with “Wilderness Escape” as their theme.
