Antioch Baptist Church held their 2014 Spring Fling; and held a Mother’s Day Cake Auction.
Berea Baptist Church held a Youth Night at Buffalo Wild Wings in Short Pump; held The Rudy Wood Golf Tournament at Hunting Hawk Golf Course; held a covered dish dinner and a prayer walk afterwards; and held a Mother/Daughter Tea which included a Bridal Style Fashion Show.
Biltmore Baptist Church is celebrating it's 85th year. The church received $5,324.00 in Special Offerings during its anniversary celebration on June 1st. The youth will have a BBQ Fundraiser on Saturday, June 14th at the Glen Allen Supermarket from 11am to 5pm. The youth will be selling plates or quarts of Mr Lee's BBQ. Proceeds from the sale will be to send the Youth to Student Life Camp in Asheville, NC in July.
Black Creek Baptist Church is holding its Vacation Bible School on Sunday, June 22 through Thursday, June 26. The theme is "VBS Scavenger Hunt." Join us for Snack Suppers each evening beginning at 5:15 pm in the Dining Hall. VBS will be held from 6-8:30 pm each evening. Broadus Memorial Baptist Church held a Blood Drive. The Children’s Choirs presented the dramatic musical, Fish Tales.
Colosse Baptist Church welcomed all Law Enforcement Personnel and their families for their annual recognition Sunday; and collected baby products for the Richmond Pregnancy Center. The youth held a Mini Mission Beach Retreat. The young adults traveled to Raleigh, NC to work for Habitat for Humanity on their mission trip. The Faith Bears traveled to Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens for Victorian Tea & Tour.
Cool Spring Baptist Church held a fundraiser for Connections coffee. The Travelers group traveled to Hopewell and explored Hopewell, the City Point Museum and Weston Manor Plantation, and ate lunch at the Dockside Seafood Restaurant.
Cornerstone Christian Church youth served a spaghetti lunch following the Sunday School hour for the entire church family with proceeds going to funding the youth fall retreat.
Dover Baptist Church youth and children held a Car Wash and Bake Sale fundraiser.
Emmaus Baptist Church held a bon fire for the children with games and s’mores.
Fort Lee Baptist Church held Graduate Recognition Sunday; and hosted a BBQ dinner on behalf of Eastern Henrico FISH. The youth held a car wash and also sold Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
Four Mile Creek Baptist Church Adult Handbell Choir played with the Laurel Hill Handbell Choir at the Community Revival.
Goochland Baptist Church held “Trucks ‘n’ Such and Community Flea Market. The youth went on a Junior and Senior Camping trip.
Hardy Central Baptist Church Jam and Jelly group held a Brunswick Stew sale and yard sale and cleared more than $3,200 for the building fund. The youth spent one Wednesday evening helping a family with domestic chores; gave several adult size loom knitted hats for patients at The Massey Cancer Center; and attended the movie God is Not Dead.
Hillcrest Baptist Church hosted a spaghetti dinner for the Junior Varsity football players and cheerleaders of Hanover High School. The Baptist Men on Mission hosted a Ladies’ Breakfast. The church will celebrate their 30th Anniversary on June 1 with a covered dish lunch after the worship service.
Hopeful Baptist Church held Family Night with outdoor games and a cookout. Members of “Stitches of Hope” attended a Prayer Shawl Ministry Retreat at Gum Spring United Methodist Church.
Hunton Baptist Church held a Seniors’ Luncheon. The youth attended a Richmond Squirrels game.
Mechanicsville Baptist Church held their Senior Adult Luncheon; held a Family Day Breakfast; and held Missions Recognition for Mission Friends, GA’s and RA’s. The youth participated in a Lock-In at church.
Mount Olivet Baptist Church held CARITAS; and delivered 250 pairs of shoes to the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship for Soles for Souls. The “Young At Heart” traveled to the Metro Richmond Zoo.

New Bethesda Baptist Church held a “Sweet Tea” for women of all ages with guest pianist, Allen King; and held a “New Member’s Dinner”.
New Highland Baptist Church started a monthly worship service at Autumn Care, a long term care and rehab facility in Mechanicsville. The church’s Farmers Market returns on May 21 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and will be open every Wednesday until September; and Kids in Christ will hold a car wash on May 31 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
New Life Baptist Church hosted “Switchin Lanes” in concert. The youth went to see the movie “Heaven is for Real”.
Northside Baptist Church held a “Sunday School Can Challenge” during the month of May to benefit the Loaves and Fishes food ministry; and held Senior Adult Sunday. The youth held a car wash fundraiser with proceeds going towards their upcoming mission trip to Danville, VA. The children went bowling at AMF Bowling Alley. The men held a “God’s Guys Breakfast and Spring Spruce Up”.
Oak Hall Baptist Church hosted the women of the church and surrounding community to a Tea Party; and held a Mother’s Day Breakfast for the ladies of all ages. OAK (Offering Acts of Kindness) brought in and made 39 coin purses, 50 pencil cases, and 31 quillows (throw/blanket folded into a pillow) to be sent to the Standing Rock Indian Reservation, 1 lap quilt to be taken to Hanover Healthcare, and 5 little girl dresses to be sent to the Living Bread Ministries.

Ridge Baptist Church youth participated in a 30 Hour Famine with funds raised to help World Vision’s efforts in ending world hunger.
